Landlords, tenants and letting agents are being asked to reveal their experiences of the private rented sector within a new national survey.
It asks tenants about their rental journey, long-term housing aspirations and how much they spend on rent, while landlords and agents are asked about accommodating tenants’ needs, their confidence in the market and industry changes.
All respondents will have a mixture of questions tackling topics such as the key challenges they face in today’s rental market and what they consider to be the most and least important aspects of the Renters’ Rights Bill.
The survey also asks more widespread questions like whether each demographic feels more or less supported by the new Government, and whether the rental market is fit for purpose.
“We have witnessed considerable change in the lettings industry since we launched our first product, specialist landlord insurance, 25 years ago,” says Eddie Hooker (pictured) founder and CEO of Total Property.
“We have adapted to the ever-evolving private rented sector and helped to shape it through our products and services, and our relationships with government and other key stakeholders.
“We’re launching this survey because we’re interested in hearing about the experiences of those who live and work in the sector at a time of virtually unprecedented change.
“This will help us to gain a holistic view of the lettings industry, enabling us to identify trends, strengths, and challenges which we hope will be instrumental in shaping the future of renting. The more responses we get from tenants, landlords and agents, the better!”
Those who complete the survey, which will run until mid November, will have a chance to win one of six £50 Amazon vouchers. Take the survey.
