Landlords offered significantly discounted carpets in Scotland

Landlords in Scotland who are members of the country’s landlord association are to get discounted carpets when refitting their rented properties, on top of any seasonal reductions already on offer by retailer Tapi.

The 10% discount deal is available to members of the Scottish Association of Landlords who use the carpets firm, which also owns UK high street firm Carpetright.

This would represent significant savings at the moment – Tapi is currently offering up to 70% off selected flooring as part of a ‘mid-season’ sale promotion.

Tapi also makes punchy claims for its carpets, including that during a cost-of-living crisis new flooring can help reduce bills by offering enhanced insulation.

Important

Alex Rogers, (pictured) head of partnerships at Tapi, added “This is an important partnership for us. As the largest flooring retailer in the UK, it is a great opportunity for us to bring the Tapi experience to even more customers and work with landlords across Scotland.

“We look forward to demonstrating our extensive product and service offering to a new audience and continuing to improve even more homes.’’

Tapi specialises in supplying flooring to private landlords, social housing providers, house builders and local authorities and has 225 stores across the UK via the Carpetright brand including 19 in Scotland.

SAL offers members 25 services and products at a discount from 20% off Dell computers to discounted mortgage services and tenant referencing.

Carpetright, which had been loss making for years, went into administration in 2024 but was rescued by Tapi, which kept 54 of its high street stores and its website.
