A charity boxing event organised by TV star Paul Shamplina is celebrating its ten-year anniversary by revealing two events this year.
Rumble with the Agents, which until now has been an annual gala evening event held in London, is to be expanded with a second evening in the North of England.
The London event is to be held on the 19th of June while Rumble with the Agents will be taking place in Newcastle on the 4th December.
Both will see letting agents, landlords, suppliers and well-known faces from the sector sitting down to a three-course meal while amateur boxers of al levels drawn from the property industry take their chances in the ring.
Shamplina says Rumble with the Agents has raised £164,000 since it started ten years ago. It is backed both by the company he founded, Landlord Action, and LandlordZONE.
“I cannot believe we have reached our 10-year anniversary of putting on Rumble with the Agents,” says Shamplina.
“What started as a simple idea combining my two passions, boxing and property, has grown into a staple event in the industry, raising an incredible amount for charities in need.
“Over the years, we have supported eight charities and built an event that blends fun, competition, and an amazing atmosphere.
“This year, we’re going bigger than ever," says Shamplina.
The London gathering will be headlined by Total Property as the main sponsor and will raise funds for homeless charity Centrepoint.
The Newcastle event, held on 4th December, will support local charity Legends on The Bench, founded by Spurs legend Micky Hazard to tackle mental health issues and prevent suicides through community support initiatives.
“I’m delighted that Centrepoint will be supported by Rumble with The Agents for their 10th Anniversary Boxing Event,” says Michael Winehouse, Centrepoint’s Head of Relationship Fundraising (pictured).
“Last year, nearly 136,000 16-24-year-olds were homeless or at risk of homelessness.
“At Centrepoint, we are committed to changing this with a goal to end youth homelessness by 2037.
“Support from events like Rumble with The Agents enables us to take greater strides towards this mission.”
Shamplina says he is now seeking men and women from the property industry to step up and enter the ring for both events.
Volunteers will undergo a structured training programme, with sessions held at a local gym in Bushey for the London event and a dedicated Newcastle gym.
Each bout will consist of three, two-minute rounds of boxing. Those interested should email Rumble direct or call 07956 414254.
