Recent research shows that most landlords are worried most about the cost of getting their homes to the looming EPC band C, rather than the myriad other challenges they face.
And there's good reason - while some properties will only need a few thousand (for say a new boiler, for example) others will need tens of thousands spending on them to upgrade heating systems entirely, replace leaky windows and fit external and/or internal insulation including for lofts.
But landlords are not alone in worrying about this. Many lenders are worried too about this and how landlords will finance it. So we were delighted when Damian Thompson, Director of The Mortgage Works, popped in for a chat.
