Could you win through in the ultimate landlord knowledge quiz?

How often do a property’s electrical tests have to be completed? What’s the minimum EPC level for a flat to be legally rented out? What’s the difference between a large and small HMO?

These are the kind of questions to be asked by Paul Shamplina (main image, inset) when he presents a Mastermind-style property quiz during the next National Landlord Investment Show.

It is being held on March 6th at London’s Olympia, the first of its multi-venue calendar for 2024.

Shamplina will be quizzing three landlords. If you fancy pitting your knowledge against the Landlord Action and Channel 5 TV star during a 90-second quick-fire round then get in touch via email.

Final winner

This Mastermind-style session will take place between 12 and 12.30pm on the day and will be repeated at the later 2024 shows in London with the final taking place on 30th October.

"The winner of the March (Olympia) and July (Old Billingsgate) Landlord Mastermind will go into a Grand Final at our show on 30th October at Old Billingsgate, says National Landlord Investment Show co-founder Steve Hanbury.

"Then the overall winner will have the accolade "Landlord Mastermind of the Year" and will receive a trophy on stage. In addition a complimentary ticket to our National Landlord Investment Show Awards which again they will be presented the award again in front of 500 landlords, investors and property professionals."

Paul Shamplina says: “I wanted to highlight how professional landlords of the kind who visit this show really know their stuff by quizzing some willing contestants on stage during the shows, but really it will be a bit of fun too for those watching."

The event's other co-founder, Tracey Hanbury (pictured), adds: “We’re thrilled to be in our 11th year and with the Renters’ Reform Bill heading towards becoming law it’s a must-attend for anyone with an interest in the Private Rented Sector.

“Registrations are flying in and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to what will be a fantastic day.”

Some of Shamplina’s question may also involve tax – something that will be on the Chancellor’s mind too on the same day when he reveals his Spring Budget.
