New year, new you. Sound familiar?
Many of us start the new year with the very best of intentions, only for them to fall by the wayside.
Want to make 2025 the year you stick to those resolutions?
Then why not look to the NRLA Training Academy for help.
The most important investment you can make as a landlord is in yourself.
As landlords, we are under pressure all day every day. This is no nine-to-five job, and, with a raft of legislation change on the horizon its set to become a lot trickier.
Education is the key when it comes to having the confidence to deal with whatever life may throw at you as a landlord, whether you are just starting out in the business or a seasoned investor.
Thousands trained
Last year, the NRLA trained more than 11,000 landlords, with 70 courses on offer on everything from safety and compliance, through to tax, finance and investment.
Delegates have a choice of in-person, face-to-face learning, eClassroom training – given virtually in real time and eLearning courses.
We have also expanded our bespoke training packages, which are offered to landlords via their local authority, and started to offer training to those renting in the social sector.
This year saw 10 new courses added to our offer, including courses on retrofit and mental health in housing.
And with the Renter’s Rights’ Bill set to receive Royal Assent next year, we are offering a new Renters’ Rights Bill course for those landlords who want to makesure they are on the front foot when the new legislation comes in.
Our first dates sold out within days – with more now added to cope with demand.
The new year will also see the launch of our all-new Agents' Fundamentals course offering everything letting agents need to know to help them help their clients, be they landlords or tenants.
Accreditation
In addition to those landlords who trained with us in 2024, we also saw 2,200 landlords become accredited with the NRLA – or work towards – accreditation.
Accreditation is a quick and simple way to prove to potential tenants you are a competent and compliant landlord, allowing you to demonstrate your knowledge, training, skills and commitment to best practice. As a bonus, some local authorities even offer discounts on licensing to accredited landlords.
So, as we enter 2025 why not commit to becoming the best version of yourself and sign up for one – or more – of our multi-award-winning courses or commit to earning Continuing Professional Development points to work towards accreditation.
With legislation change increasingly geared towards creating a more professional sector, it pays to be ahead of the game, so why not join the thousands of others training with the NRLA and sign up today.
